Bankruptcy Attorney Fees

We believe that legal representation should be available to everyone without causing further financial stress.

There is a free initial in-person consultation, as long as you fill out the questionnaire completely prior to the meeting.

All listed fees are current as of April 2016.

Washington

Chapter 7 (fresh start) in WA — $500 individual / $650 couple Attorney Fee + $335 Court Filing Fee.

Chapter 7 (fresh start) in ID – $650 individual / $800 couple Attorney Fee.

Chapter 13 in WA – $650 Pre-filing Attorney Fee + $310 Court Filing Fee.

Chapter 13 in ID – $850 Pre-filing Attorney Fee + $310 Court Filing Fee.



Spokane Cases: An attorney will attend your meeting of creditors with you. All meetings in Spokane County, Stevens County, and Pend Oreille County are held in Spokane. In addition, most meetings in Lincoln County and Adams County are held in Spokane.

Cases Outside Spokane: If your meeting is held in Moses Lake, Richland, Yakima, Wenatchee, Moscow, or Colfax, there will be an additional fee of $500 because of the travel time to and from the meeting.
For this fee, the attorney will meet with you, prepare your court papers, file them at the court for you, and appear at your meeting of creditors with you.

Your case can be handled through the mail and over the telephone for an additional $75, but you will still need to attend the meeting of creditors with the attorney.

Idaho

Chapter 7 (fresh start) — $650 Attorney Fee + $335 Court Filing Fee
Chapter 13 – $650 Attorney Fee + $310 Court Filing Fee

An attorney will attend your meeting of creditors with you if it is scheduled in Coeur d’Alene.

Your case can be handled through the mail and over the telephone for an additional $75, but you will still need to attend the meeting of creditors with the attorney.

After Filing

Amendments: After filing, some petitions will need to be amended because not all creditors or property was listed in your petition. There is an $90 fee each time your petition is amended (up to 10 creditors).

Reaffirmation In Chapter 7 cases, Reaffirmations are $100 per file. This applies when you want to keep your secured property, such as a car, and want to continue to make payments.
